Hello, everybody!
I'm sorry for the extremely late replies and comments! This month has been intense, more so than I initially expected. I want to thank those who have commissioned me already, and to say how exciting it's been so far! I'll be really sad to close them down in August, but for the summer, it's been a really great experience!
As those of my friends on Facebook know, my kitty was recently discovered to have a tumor, which we had thought was an abscess and tried to treat at home initially. When it didn't get any better after a short while, we took her in. Thanks to the vet allowing us to pay half at the time of surgery and half later, we were able to help her. She's now recovering, but because of the extent of the tumor and how much of her leg had to be removed, she requires a lot of care and my replies may yet be a little slow.
We are currently waiting to hear back from the pathologist about the tumor- hopes are not high, but mine remain, thanks to the encouragement of my dear friends!
I've been fortunate in having plenty of fun commissions to do so far, and have also been working on gift art for father's day ( three dads in my life! ), my mom's birthday, and am hand sewing two costumes for our local anime festival at the end of this month- one for my daughter, and one for myself. Busy, busy, busy! It does the spirit good to have lots to do, I think.
I wanted to quickly pop on, try to comment as much as possible, and spam with some art I've been meaning to put up, but haven't had the time to! I apologize in advance for this!
I will continue to catch up on literary deviations and journals as time warrants! I don't want to miss a thing, but I'm neck-deep in work at the moment! ^_^ You are all very important to me, and I promise I won't ignore you!

Commissions notice!
I am still open, but there is a queue! Never hesitate to ask, and if you want to, just note me with the info ahead of time so I can jump on in when the next spot is available! I want to try to get to everyone before summer's end. You are always free to change your mind once it's your turn! No hard feelings will be had.

I will be taking commissions for the duration of the summer, barring any major life problems! I may be stopping once school starts back up again, so get 'em while you can! a w a
Mediums
The usual! Pencils are my specialty, but I also work with ink, paint/watercolour, mixed mediums and I can CG! I love trying new mediums, so don't hesitate to challenge me!
Prices
$15.00 for all commissions, regardless of medium! Up to two characters for the base price!
+$2.00 for an added character beyond that
+$5.00 for a detailed background ( lots going on; to clarify, I mean LOTS. A city, crowd, really intense details everywhere... I certainly don't want anyone to shy away from asking for some detail! )
Hopefully that will make things easy and fair!
Payment Method
Paypal for the time being! It is a simple and safe program, and there won't be any fees on the customer's end.
It allows for customers to perform a transaction safely and securely, without having to give me any info at all. I'm sorry if this is inconvenient to anyone!
If you absolutely can't use Paypal, checks are now welcomed also!
Here's how it goes:
I will not ask for anything whatsoever until your commission is completed!
I will send you the lineart version first, to get your approval to continue with colouring/shading, etc. This will be watermarked, not as an offense to anyone's trustworthiness, but as a standard.
I will send you a watermarked preview version of the completed product for your approval, and once you have agreed that you are happy with it and have completed the transaction on Paypal ( I will give you the e-mail address information once you are ready ), I will send you the full, unmarked file.
I will trust you, as an awesome person. Because you are awesome, and you wouldn't just steal all that hard work, now would ya? Of course not! :3
For the moment, I am unable to mail physical copies, but I ALWAYS keep the original safely with me and am looking into good shipping methods for in the future. For now, only digital copies can be commissioned! I am very sorry for this!
If you need special parental permission to give out your address, you can always refer them to me and I will be more than happy to answer any of their questions and help put them at ease. I do not share private information, over the internet or otherwise.
Info On Your Part
Never personal info, of course. This is about descriptions!
I will, as with requests, need plenty of info and lots of description on what you would like!
That means, to guarantee your complete satisfaction, I will need to know, for example, such things as:
Style and medium you'd prefer; feel free to be specific, as it is helpful and I won't mind!
Character species, etc.
Hair, skin and eye colour, etc., as well as hair length and other important physical details
Specific wishes for their facial and bodily expressions
A good idea of the character/creature's personality
General body size and height scale
Vivid wishes for background, unless you want me to make something up, which I will be more than happy to do. Pictures with no background are obviously just fine, too. ^_^
Any other stuff you have locked up in your head for me to play with! I love having lots of ideas to work with.
If there are more than one character, you may want to explain how you want them to be interacting, if at all... that sort of thing.
Please remember to tell me everything you might want me to know! Reference pictures are greatly appreciated when available, of course ( if they're available and not easy to find in your gallery, that is- I'm used to manually researching characters and not being a total bum ). :3
I will not draw anything excessively naughty, nothing romantic involving minors, etc. Mpreg and slash are welcomed, though! ^_^
Copyright Notices
Due to copyright laws, I think I will start with drawing OCs and the like, unless permission for a character can be obtained, or they are public domain. I know this will limit me to doing requests-only in the fan art category, but it would be illegal for me to make profit off of someone else's concepts, so I'm afraid I just can't. That doesn't mean you can't drop a request idea my way! I may have time eventually. ^_~
Time Allowance
Pictures with more than one character or a very detailed setting may take longer than those without. I will always work my hardest to get your drawing done within as short a time frame as possible, but I also want to be able to take the time to assure the best quality I can produce!
Basically, since you're not paying before anything is done, I ask that you give me plenty of patience.
I will notify customers of any real-life emergencies or major delays.
DeviantArt Permission
You can decide whether or not it's okay for me to post your commission on DA, or elsewhere on the internet. If you don't want me to, I won't post it anywhere.
If it's your character and you don't mind me sharing the drawing, you will receive full credit for them and lots of linkback!
You may post your commission anywhere you like, but I ask that you please give me credit for it, fi you can. Oh, and be sure to link it to me if you can, so I can see it and be all warm and fuzzy inside!

An Unexpected Update!
Hello, old friends!!! What happened to DevArt and Highly Unexpected? The good news is, I'm still making stuff! Pretty much every day! Sooooo, you know how I had previously said that I would try for NOT having another months-long break between updates? WELLLlllllp. Life happened, and I'm so sorry I haven't been posting! I want to start off by saying how incredibly sorry I am for the long pause, as far as journals and actual posting go. A couple of people have actually asked about "Highly Unexpected", and as I have told them, it's still being written! I've just been slowed down a lot this year.
